Our hero, young baker Marek, hath been given a daunting task: to repair the roof of his familial house. Little did he know that beneath the timbers of the decayed roof he would discover a treasure. Amidst the old rubble in a dusty chest lay an ancient, yellowed parchment. And thereon? Marek, in awe, hastened to his family until he was breathless. “Heavens, it is great-grandmother’s lost chimney cake recipe!” exclaimed his father. They sang and danced, shouted and rejoiced. And why not, for they could at last revive a family tradition! Thus was born the Old Prague Traditional Trdlo.
